 How to make a VETZ Spritz?

VETZ 60 ml (2 ounces) 

Prosecco 90 ml (3 ounces) 

Soda 30 ml (1 ounce) 

Lemon Peel



In 3 easy steps, mix the Prosecco, VETZ & Soda in a large wine glass. Fill the rest of the glass with ice and top off with Lemon peel. Here you have your Spritz done!

The story

A staple of the Aperitivo is the Spritz. It’s a cocktail, with a variation in almost every town from Milan to Venice. The Spritz Veneziano as it was originally called is an Italian wine-based cocktail, served throughout the Northeast part of Italy. The history of the Spritz dates back to the Habsburg domination in Veneto in the 1800s. Soldiers, diplomats, merchants, and employees of the Habsburg Empire in Veneto grew fond of drinking local wine in the taverns, but the alcohol content was much higher than they were accustomed to. These newcomers began asking the local tavern keepers to add a drop of water into the wine to make the drink lighter; the real original spritz was composed of sparkling white wine or red wine diluted with fresh water.
